THEO was founded in 2020 in Seoul, South Korea. THEO prioritizes building a sustainable art cycle based on diversity, and was founded by two directors with backgrounds in the UK and US art markets to bring their international expertise and networks to the Korean art scene.

THEO's primary goal is to showcase the broad spectrum of Korean art and its diversity. We are dedicated to supporting young and talented Korean artists, regardless of artistic genre, and finding potential in their work, and by providing them with a platform, we aim to foster their growth and development within the rapidly evolving art ecosystem.

In addition to promoting local artists, THEO actively works to break down cultural boundaries. We do this by building close relationships with relevant organizations and collaborating with domestic and international galleries. Through collaborations with artists and directors from diverse backgrounds, THEO strives to foster cross-cultural exchange and expand artistic discourse by introducing international artists to Korean and Asian audiences.
