Hyejin Yoon
Hyejin Yoon explores painting as a means to sustain the presence of absence. Prompted by personal experiences of loss, she began to confront emotions she had previously dismissed, developing a body of work that memorializes what no longer exists. Forms are decomposed and transited to abstraction, unfolding into ambiguous scenes that eschew direct representation. Instead, her compositions trace resemblances-faint echoes of memories-through blurred fields of color and fragmented forms.
