Matthias Garcia(b. 1994) is based in Paris and draws inspiration from a variety of sources, including art history, folklore, and popular culture. Goya(Goya) and Redon(Redon)to comics and video games - his work explores metamorphosis, hybridity, and the tension between beauty and the uncanny through psychedelic landscapes and surreal figures. 

In this Artist Talk, we'll discuss the Matthias Garcia's dreamy visual worlds, his artistic journey, the influence of the city of Paris on his visual language, and the inspiration he received from his recent trip to Japan and his first visit to Seoul.
