Choi Sujin (B. 1986) has been painting pictorial spaces based on photographs of places and objects she encounters on her travels and walks, and creating her own scenes by combining accumulated images of sensations, memories, experiences, and fantasies. She has been working on the Workshop series, which breaks down the process of painting and personifies the moments of each step and has recently begun to focus on creating pictorial spaces that reflect the early stages of her work.
Choi Sujin has had seven solo exhibitions, including Curiosity, Clouds, Words and Fruity Buttercream. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Humorland & Co., The World We Made, and Adventures of Korean Painting: I Will Go Away All By MyselfHe is the founder and director of the Center for Contemporary Art, and has participated in residencies at OCI Museum of Art, Kuandu Museum of Art, Taiwan, and Beijing Art Mia Foundation.
