Lee San Oh (b.1996) studied painting at Sejong University (BFA) and pursued ceramics at the graduate school of Seoul National University of Science and Technology (MFA). Through the use of clay, paper, and graphite, she poetically explores themes of living and death in religion, revealing structural parallels between text and imagery. Along with drawings Inspired by books, she interweaves textual and visual elements, developing surreal sculptural works in a manner akin to writing.

 

Lee San Oh (b.1996) majored in painting at Sejong University and received her MFA in ceramics from Seoul National University of Science and Technology. He poetically expresses his contemplations on life and death through clay, paper, and graphite, and finds similarities in the structure of text and image. He takes materials from books to create associations between text and image, and develops surrealistic sculptures in a similar way to writing.
