Karma series, which Choi has devoted himself to for over fifteen years, stemmed from the artist's wish to resemble the very simple yet sophisticated character of the moon-jar. The cracks or lines on the surface of the porcelain, that he draws one by one, symbolize the relationships and different paths in our lives. Choi chose the image of the moon-jar as the medium of communication. The lines that separate yet continue, appear similar but different, and ultimately converge are all stories of our lives. The act of drawing these lines reflects and embodies the artist's personal narrative and extends to the viewers, fostering a dialogue about individual experiences and memories.

By Young Wook Choi Karma The series is based on the artist's wish to resemble a simple yet sophisticated moon jar, and the ice heat on the porcelain surface is compared to our life path. The artist chose the image of a moon jar as a medium of communication. The lines that diverge and connect, seem to be similar and different, but eventually come together, are also the stories of our lives. The dialog that begins by incorporating the artist's own story into the act of drawing lines also connects with the life stories of everyone who sees the work.
