ART OnO 2025 Special Exhibition_Sensorium - Back to Play

Led by Director Joowon Park, SUPERMADE (SPMD) is a multidisciplinary artist crew and cultural powerhouse that colors the world with creative vision and fluid inspiration. Based in Seoul, they bring stories to brands, design the imagination, and sensualize the 'out of reach' with experiences that awaken the senses. From brand development and launch, exhibition curation, sensational F&B pairings, cultural programs, private events, and corporate collaborations, SPMD's work is always outside the boundaries. People who create experiences, SUPERMADE to turn your imagination into reality.

SPMD invites artists and visitors into the 'kitchen' with its ART OnO 2025 special exhibition Sensorium - Back to Play. Like the warm space where families naturally gather for meals, the exhibition is organized to experience the artists' work in a new way through the medium of food. Visitors are invited to sit down together and immerse themselves in the artists' worlds through the artistic language of the five senses - food - beyond mere visual appreciation.

Transforming the artwork into an 'edible art experience', Sensorium - Back to Play invites visitors to engage directly with both the art and the artist, creating new interpretations and connections. In other words, it creates a moment where the art and the story behind it really seeps into the viewer's body.

In an age where the lines between reality and virtuality are increasingly blurred, Sensorium - Back to Play knocks on the door of the senses we've forgotten. The body's sensory memories of eating, smelling, and touching are the little bits of magic that quietly permeate our daily lives, allowing us to perceive and feel the world in a multilayered and extraordinary way.

For this exhibition, SPMD collaborates with three artists: Sangho Noh, Sareena Sattapon, and Hyunsun Jeon.

Noh Sangho presents HOLY Glitches, an immersive experience of sensory illusions, playful textures, and surreal transitions. He connects the strange and uncanny feelings we experience in the digital world with religious sanctity, and reflects on the boundaries between digital and analog. These moments of boundary materialize through the act of 'sharing food together', and his table is home to scenes of transparent wine, flaming snowmen, and more that subvert perception and sensation.

Hyunsun Jeon is driven by a curiosity about the weight, texture, and taste of the geometric shapes in her paintings. He combines ingredients of different colors and textures to create menus, asking himself, "What do the shapes I draw taste like?" and asks the question, "What do the shapes I draw taste like? This journey brings sensations that exist only in the imagination into the real world, and invites the viewer to experience new interpretations through the process of deconstructing and savoring them.

Sareena Sattapon reinterprets the traditional ritual *Bai Sri Su Kwan*, which is rooted in the local cultures of Thailand and Laos. By exploring and reconstructing the components of the soul, this ritual plays an important role in harmonizing the individual and the community and materializing human existence. Through the carefully prepared food, drink, and acts of offering at her table, all visitors are invited to connect with each other, reunite the scattered pieces of their souls, and reconnect with their essential life force, *Kwan*.
