Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1974, the artist moved to New Jersey in 1980. They spent their formative years in the United States, living there from age 6 to 30, and graduated from Parsons School of Art and Fine Arts in 1996. The artist returned to Japan in 2004.<\/p>\n
MADSAKI creates his works based on provocative and satirical phrases and historical masterpieces. In recent years, he has also developed an intimate series of paintings reminiscent of a first-person narrative. His works depict the complexities of an identity forged between Japan and America, which are expressed through his bold use of spray work.<\/p>\n\n\n
